Iraq: Five Years On
Story aired: Wednesday, March 19, 2008

After five years of war and thousands of deaths, is Iraq closer to self-governance? And aside from the human toll, how much is this war costing the U.S.? We speak with Dr. Haider al-Abadi, a member of Iraq's parliament, about political and security progress. Al-Abadi says Iraqi security forces are performing well and disagreements among Iraqi politicians is typical in a democracy. We also speak with Linda Bilmes, co-author of "The Three Trillion Dollar War: The True Cost of the Iraq Conflict."

Guests:
