Electoral College Doomsday
Story aired: Monday, October 06, 2008

What if both Senators John McCain and Barack Obama each win 269 votes in the Electoral College on election day? And what if, according to rules laid out in the Constitution, the House of Representatives picks Obama for President, and the Senate picks Sarah Palin for Vice President? It could happen. We speak with Dr. Judith Best, Professor of Political Science and an electoral college specialist at the State University of New York in Cortland.
