A New New Deal?
Story aired: Wednesday, November 19, 2008

As some lawmakers and economists are talking about an economic stimulus plan like the New Deal, we take a look at what the federal government really did during the New Deal, and how a conservative Mormon businessman came to be one of its chief architects.

Our guest is Richard Parker, lecturer in public policy at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. His latest book is "John Kenneth Galbraith: His LIfe, His Politics, His Economics."
